So it’s been a while, I’ll make a list
1. First, some unnecessary effort. I trailed around in typical English rain last Monday in an effort to find the best student bank account. I was so prepared with a list of questions and everything, unfortunately this story does not have a happy ending. After two wet hours, I was told by a very (un)helpful man at Halifax that I had to be 18 before I could open the account. I went back on Friday and was told by a very nice lady that this was all lies. I ended up in Natwest anyway because I had a crappy credit rating.. whatever that is. Moral of the story, when it starts to rain abandon all hope. It will only go downhill from there (my shoes fell apart).
2. On to happier news, I turned eighteen (fucking finally)! ahhh maybe I’ll meet someone with a later birthday someday.. maybe. I am still feeling the effects of birthday weekend!
A friend linked this to me on results day (that seems like ages ago now!). Basically our Bio exam in January was a beast. I was pretty certain I’d fail that exam, and that AQA had pretty much crushed any dreams I had of going to uni. Seems a little bit dramatic now, but I felt like my life was over, to use a cliched phrase.
At least I wasn’t the only one…
3. It feels like I’m getting there with the uni prep. I am now the very proud owner of an iron! yess :’) as well as some mugs, plates and cutlery, all matching of course. Truth is I cannot wait for the clothes&shoes shopping
4. I had a dress made for a wedding this weekend! It’s so pretty! (and I love love pretty things). BUT despite being measured for this dress I still manage to look uber flat chested :/ I feel very boylike
Pictures will be uploaded after the wedding itself.
I am grooving to this, as it is bank holiday Monday and the whole family have run off to watch the Leeds West Indian Carnival. I’m home alone, but that’s how I like it
peace out kiddies

I love, LOVE this outfit
![]()
Check this woman out, she has an AMAZING sense of style (not to mention incredibly long legs).
Today was spent trying to clean out ye olde laptop. Had bit of a thrill deleting old essays/typed notes etc. In fact, it felt almost as good as burning textbooks. The best bit, however, was removing all traces of my personal statement. I deleted the thing itself, plus about twenty drafts and notes.. UCAS can keep the damn thing as far as I’m concerned.
The only thing I wanted to keep was the pictures.. Unfortunately my laptop decided to be gay. Memory stick ended up being formatted and poooft! Pictures gone :/
I am now surfing the www. and looking at pretty vintage things. I pretty much want to be a billionaire, so fucking bad :/ then I could afford plenty of nice things.
Goth Weeked in October, and guess who shall be off

I am hoping to wear something LIKE this, but a little more red..
AHHHHH I do so LOVE dressing up! I went to Whitby in April, towards the end of goth week, and all the costumes were amazing, I can’t wait!
Bedtime now for yours truly why do I always do this last thing before bed.. hmm? and no, I don’t know what’s up with the title either.
Listening to: The Killers! I’ve Day&Age on repeat for a while now. It’s currently on:
bye bye now children!

Spent today doing some cooking! ahaha the smoke alarm went off a few times! but hey, all in the interests of good food
I then did some major house cleaning which led me to unearth a few more old school photos. Some of these picture are slightly horrendous, there’s one of me at a funeral back home and I look positively bored/slightly sleepy and not very attractive at all.
Alas, I was an incredibly odd looking child, ahah seems somethings never change
OH and it’s all official!
Congratulations! Your place at University of Leeds (L23) to study Medicine (A100) has been confirmed.
It took two days, but Leeds have finally confirmed that I did make the maths grade. So bring on the good times!
Now I’m just incredibly excited. I’ve had some much needed sleep and now I can’t stop thinking that in under a month I’ll be there.
Yesss
ahaha check this out. It’s the provisional timetable for the first year, shown to me by a friend who’s just as hyped up as I am. I can’t waittttt! bring on septemberr.

Well I’m not really listening to this, but I did hear it earlier on tv , on one of the rare channels that wasn’t playing shitty twelve year old/chavvy crap.

I’m in. It’s over.
The perfect end to such a stressful/suicidal week! I’m just glad all my careful clearing prep wasn’t needed after all.
Right now, I’m so fucking tired.
More later.

Tomorrow is results day. In case you’ve been living under a rock, this is the pinnacle of my life, the meaning of my existence and possibly the difference between life and death. So yeah, pretty important to me.
I’m planning on living on clearing tonight. It goes live at midnight and I will be there, getting prepared for the worst case scenarios.. or as many shit scenarios as possible. I am very depressed right now :/
I am incredibly certain I wouldn’t have got the grades. Just the thought of certain papers (chem, maths) is enough to make me feel physically sick. Those exams were horrendous and the gutting thing is that I could have worked harder, so much harder, but for some reason I didn’t and I am going to regret it so, so much tomorrow. Yeah, it will be my own fault and that makes it all worse.
Ironic thing; I had to go to school to get a picture taken for the evening post this afternoon. The camera dude was awful, he had a few brown envelopes and was like, “your results are here” I think I died. We had to wave these envelopes about and be “happy” with the results.. problem is, I could actually be slitting my wrists tomorrow and there’ll be this god awful picture somewhere. :/
Currently listening to:
This has been my calm down tune for the last few day, ever since I started counting down to tomorrow actually. I love this song, it’s so cute and chilled out.
Oh and someone please buy me this jumper? Thanks
Peace out.

paaah! turns out the best blog writing software out there is windows live writer, which only works for, well, windows
“you never know what you got till it’s gone”
That’s how I felt when my laptop broke, because the only other thing in the house is this huge mac. I discovered that textedit (the only thing that comes with the mac) is pretty shit for blogging, and I’m too lazy to put something on blogger then head all the way to wordpress and do it all again. So here I am, trying out a free version of Blogo.. we’ll see how this goes. I’m not too impressed so far to be honest :/
We had some family visiting for a few weeks which was tres fun (the full extent of my language skills aye). There were three kids, and one was a little baby who I fell in love with! He was so cute and well behaved! I am a huge fan of children and we all got along swimmingly (ahaha too much finding nemo there) seeing as I am a child myself :’)
I also went to see this:
I’d been meaning to see Inception for ages, alas I have to admit, two hours of eye candy in the form of Leo DiCaprio was probably my main motivation for watching it. BUUTT, this film is amazing/ace/probably the best thing I’ve ever seen. And that is no joke.
The ending was also very clever and, I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, but WAS IT A DREAM?? If you’ve seen this, let me know what you think!
So yeah. Freaking awesome.
Currently listening to:
I’m a lady! I am a huge fan of Santigold (or is it Santogold?) I think she has such a great sense of style and a really unique sound! This is probably the most famous tune by her though..
Remember.. from the old VO5 adverts? Yeah, amazing song too!
Hope this has made up for the long absence

Did a bit of cleaning today, which is basically throwing out all the crap I’ve accumulated in the last two years. managed to dig out the report sheet for my UKCAT, and I had a little chuckle at the results for my “non cognitive analysis”. All I remember about the test was being beyond knackered and basically just guessing my answers but apparently I have “.. a tendency to stick to rules at all times, to be cautious about opportunities and to be rather unemotional in your reactions to events” and that sounds NOTHING like me! ahahaha I was expecting something along the lines of how I’d make an awesome doctor simply because I was perfect. ahh well
I just started reading this today:
It’s the first in a trilogy and the second one is set to be released later on this year. I usually don’t start a series until all the books are out but this came highly reccomended so ..
Yeah so I did some tidying, like a good little girl and I dug out some old old albums I don’t really listen to anymore, and I’d thought lost forever. I was such an ace moment!Sharing a room with two other girls means that when something’s lost it usually stays lost
ahaha I ended up spending a nice few hours listening to them, which made me a very happy child
One of the albums I dug out was Enter the Wu-Tang by the Wu Tang Clan. Now I am a huuge fan of old school anything, especially old school hip-hop and c.r.e.a.m is just a the best track on an ace album
Currently listening to Ellie Goulding- Under the Sheets. I adore this girls voice! Not really a fan of her other stuff though.

I was watching Mock the week the other night and they were this part at the end where basically they were making jokes about discarded Harry Potter titles. One of they ones they came up with was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Commerce which almost made me wet myself being a huge nerdy fan of Harry
OH and I watched the trailer for the last film (finally, I’d been wondering if the trailer was out for ages!) and THAT made me wet myself :’)
ahhhh I can’t wait for November!
Just finished reading the Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb, and to be honest I expected better. I’d never read anything of hers (although I should have, being a fantasy/sci-fi fanatic), and I was slightly disappointed by the plot, even though she is an amazing writer.
Also STILL waiting for the next book in George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire. There are four books out the the mo (out of the seven he’s got planned) and if you are remotely interested in the likes of Tolkien and Eriksson then Ice and Fire is a MUST! Apparently a Dance with Dragons should be coming out in Sept. Let’s hope it does
These are the ones that are out so far, and the one below is the one I’m waiting oh so patiently for
It actually feels so good to have time to just sit and read a book, without feeling guilty that I’m not doing any revision
Currently listening to The 2004 Phantom of the Opera soundtrack (which explains the title)
This is the best song from the film, simply because there is so much feeling in Gerry’s voice and also because I really like the lyrics. Ahhh I really want to see this on stage..
